What if we told you we found a company that could make HIV and AIDS about as much of a threat to the average human as Polio??

We’re guessing you’d be excited to hear about it, so we won’t tease you too much.

Our alert for Monday is Power of the Dream Ventures, Inc., PWRV.

The stock closed Friday at 32 cents.

PWRV through its subsidiary, Genetic Immunity,  Inc., is a Phase III clinical stage biotechnology company creating next generation immunotherapies, in a market that is projected to reach $11 billion by 2018.

PWRV’s lead product candidate, DermaVir, is an immune boosting drug for HIV, which is now only treated by antiretroviral drugs that decrease the ability of the immune system to fight with the virus.

PWRV’s DermaVir HIV-specific Immunotherapy is the first of a new line of curative nanomedicine products developed for the treatment and eradication of HIV.

The trials have shown PWRV’s vaccine reduces the HIV viral load (the number of HIV infected cells in a patient’s blood) by 70% after two treatments, and all without side effects. What this means is there are none of the side effects associated with the twenty some odd HIV drugs currently on the market!

Following a successful DermaVir trial on HIV-infected adults, the US government is sponsoring a Phase II pediatric clinical trial for PWRV,  this is big!!

The technological basis of PWRV rests on what is called DNA based immune therapy. This is a relatively new discipline, the first commercial product of which is Dendreon (Ticker: DNDN with a market cap of $650 million dollars) Corporation’s Provenge, a prostate cancer vaccine that produced an average survival of 4.1 months as compared to placebo (clinical trials are conducted with place control. This means that while one person received the medication another will only get a placebo, sugar water. They measure the efficacy of the drug, comparing those who receive it to those who get the placebo.)

PWRV looks like its getting very close to the production stage.

PWRV has a manufacturing facility that was financed by a $4 million grant received from the Hungarian Office for Innovation and Technology!

If you’ve followed the OTC market for a while, you’d know that biotech company’s tend to be the BIGGEST gainers.

A company that is close to manufacturing a HIV vaccine??!!  A disease nearly 34 million people are infected with.

We think investors will be excited…don’t you?

Luckily, it appears we’re not too late.

PWRV announced the acquisition of Genetic Immunity at the end of September.  Only recently, has any news come out, and on the small amount of volume its already begun making gains.

As this story is disseminated across the market, we think we could see a real blue sky breakout here.
